(Lack of) Aesthetic Interests, by Stephanie Luka

I do not know what exactly
defines a ‘hobby’ – things
hardly ever spark any detectable sliver of joy
in me, but I will list some activities that might
not be an unpleasant waste
of my excessive and useless
time: lying to irrelevant people, world fame
& easy money, being a mysteriously sexy
& sick strangevoiced frontwoman of a rock
& roll band dressed exclusively
in brown leather, bleeding
lower lip, fake names, apathy
& vitamins, experiencing a breakthrough,
appearing to be some sort of woman, being
vaguely familiar with the Russian language,
pondering, portraying & rejecting virginity,
having noticeably high IQ, bleeding
from my nose, mouth, knee(s) and
/or vagina, pretentious bullshit,
painting my nails mint green
at the gas station wearing a ragged wedding dress.

Swans, by Stephanie Luka

Stephanie Luka's art originates from the fact that besides being a girl, a God and a writer, she is also an elusive and constantly transforming secret. Her art is an attempt at revealing her purest self – & possibly an eternal failure.
